As I look into my crystal ball of marketing, I foresee that I’ll be adding more videos to my marketing mix this year. Anyone who’s ever dealt with videos knows that they’re both a storage hog and a bandwidth hog. I have been using an online service that both stores my media and provides a web site player for both audios and videos. However, I’m tired of paying a monthly recurring fee and started to explore other options.

My to-do list often runneth over. I am the world’s largest user of sticky notes, I think, and my desk it often littered with them as I remember things I have to do or ideas that I have. Periodically this habit drives me crazy, and I begin to look for other solutions. I have a longer-term solution with an online collaboration service, on which I note my client/project to-do’s. However, I wanted something simple and flexible just for my desktop that would break me of the post-it note habit yet safely store all of the info running around in my head.
I’ve been looking to switch web hosts for some time. Even though I had a great relationship with the tech support person and had been with the company for almost 10 years, I was paying three times more for my hosting than what was offered at comparable hosting companies. After participating in a program where a colleague was using this new company, I decided to make the leap.
