I’ve used a number of software packages to keep up with my contacts, ranging from Outlook to ACT!. I haven’t been terribly thrilled with any of them, but used Outlook for many years because of its notes feature, which let me keep a great deal of extraneous info on my contacts and clients in one place. However, since I stopped using Outlook for email several years ago, I’ve used a hodge-podge of online contact management solutions, mostly free versions, and none really met my needs.
Once you begin adding content, like your articles, to your website, an amazing thing starts to happen with your web site marketing. Your traffic begins to increase, as visitors are finding your site based on keyword searches that they do that result in them landing on your content pages. As I’ve added more content pages to my site, I’ve discovered that about 60% of my traffic comes to my site via these kinds of searches.
If you do any audio editing of files from interviews or teleclasses, you know that many times one speaker is much louder than the others. Now there’s a free software tool that adjusts the levels within your file for variations from one speaker to the next. It’s not a compressor, normalizer or limiter although it contains all three. It’s much more than those tools, and it’s much simpler to use.
One area of Linkedin Marketing and content syndication that I’ve overlooked until recently is sharing my content on the social networking platform, Linkedin. In all honesty, I’ve never been very active on Linkedin because I haven’t really known how to connect there. Now, I’m delving more and more into Linkedin and have discovered that it’s probably the most useful social networking platform out there, much more so than Twitter or Facebook, even though those two mediums tend to get the bulk of the publicity.

I’ve been slow to develop my own Facebook page. Why? Because I’ve been trying to determine how to use it, if I really need it, and what it should contain.
