Even though I’ve moved most of my sites to WordPress, I still have occasions where I need a good HTML editor. I never learned HTML well enough to hand-code, so I’ve always depended upon a WYSIWYG web editor to crank out the code for me. Up until now I’ve been using Frontpage 2003, but I was unable to install it on my new computer, so I had to look around for another alternative. I’ve always been unwilling to invest money in and time to learn Dreamweaver, and I finally found a full-featured alternative that does all that I need it to do.

I’ve been searching for a tool to assist with my brainstorming and planning efforts. All the recommendations for this kind of software seemed to lean toward mind-mapping software, which I have used but haven’t continued to use because I just didn’t like the mind-mapping format. I’m a post-it note kind of gal and many times write out my notes long hand, but have always been frustrated when I do create files for an idea that I can’t ever seem to figure out how I filed it. Then, when I got my new computer, I discovered exactly what I had been seeking.

Current SEO dictates that the more one-way backlinks you have from a site, the more importance and relevance your site holds. If you have no idea how many one-way links there are to your site, now there’s a free tool you can use to check this out.

Backlink Watch lets you type the URL of your web site to get complete detailed information about quality and quantity of backlinks pointing to your site. It will show you anchor text, page rank, total outbound links on that page, and nofollow flag for each of your inbound link available.
