NicheFinder

NicheFinderAs I research keywords for my sites and client sites, I’ve been using the Google External Keyword Tool.  While this tool from Google works well, I’ve been seeking something that would give me a bit more information, all in one place, that would be easy to interpret.

I then found NicheFinder, a software tool developed by Brad Callen.  It lets you quickly determine how hard it will be to rank for a particular keyword.  Beside each keyword, you’ll get one of three buttons:  Green means low competition, yellow means moderate competition, and red means don’t use this one at all.

Article Marketing SEO: 7 SEO Tweaks to Make the Search Engines LOVE Your Articles!I had a conversation with a potential client this week about her article marketing SEO efforts.

She had hired someone to submit her articles to article directories and social networking sites, but she wasn’t getting the results she expected.  I took a quick look at her articles on one of the article directories and quickly discovered the problem.  The articles were not tweaked for the search engines, or SEO (search engine optimization).  Instead of using a primary keyword by which this business owner wanted to be found, the articles were being distributed with cute, kitschy titles that work well in an ezine but don’t work well as all when the article is being distributed online.

Connected

ConnectedI’ve been trying out various online contact management systems.  Some I’ve liked more than others, and I’ve actually subscribed to a few.  Recently, however, I found one that offered a unique feature — I can access my contact’s vital info, keep notes on my contacts, AND keep up with them on social networks.

Connected lets you access all your contacts in one place. You can see their latest status updates, photos, blog posts, and work history from across the social web.

I don’t really have time to write completely new articles, so I’ve been looking for a good article spinning software or service that will create a newly rewritten version of my content for me. Most of them spit out poorly rewritten content or are too difficult to use.
