SEOQuake

I do a great deal of SEO research for myself and my clients, like determining how many backlinks a site has, what pagerank the site holds, for what keywords the site is optimized, who owns a site, how old a site is, etc. I have been using a variety of tools to assess this info until I found a free one that tells me just about everything I need to know.

The Magic of 11

In addition to being Veterans Day here in the U.S., 11-11-11 is that rare blip on the calendar when the numeric month, day and last two digits of the year match in perfect, and in this case palindromic, harmony.

Hollywood numerologist Glynis McCants, sees the triple 11s as a doorway to opportunity, making 11-11-11 the perfect day to seize that new career, new relationship or other goal you desire. Her advice for today? Light a white candle and write down exactly what you hope to accomplish before the year ends.

One of my favorite things to do is to try out new tools and resources that I find online to make my life easier. I recently found a site that evaluates the free version of tools and answers questions about them so you can make an informed decision about which one(s) you would like to use.

CatchFree is an online service that makes it easy to find the best free solution for anything from streaming music to managing projects online. CatchFree was founded in 2010 by a team that was tired of the challenges of trying to compare free alternative solutions on the details that really matter.

So many business owners are struggling to make more sales in the midst of this recession. Some are succeeding better than others, and even the big discount stores (like Wal-Mart) are reversing managerial decisions to boost their bottom line. I’m not a big fan of Wally World (aka Wal-Mart) because of how their presence in small towns tends to run mom and pop stores out of business. Several years ago Wal-Mart decided to do away with their layaway program, which was devastating for many lower income families in small rural communities who relied on this program to purchase toys for their children for Christmas. In many rural communities these days, it’s Wal-Mart or nothing.

Join

I’m doing a good amount of keyword research lately for my various projects. When I do this research, I like to save my results in a CSV file. However, I was struggling to figure out how to easily append the CSV files to one another so that I could create one big keyword list.

Then I found Join. This software offers a powerful solution for users who need to merge multiple CSV files horizontally or vertically. Simply add files by dragging and dropping and then move them to the order in which you want them to appear. The results are saved to a new CSV file.
